Family Learning @ WVIS
Over the last few weeks our families have had the chance to gain a deeper insight into what learning looks like in school.
Year R read the story of Tiddler by Julia Donaldson and then made submarine portholes using paper plates and a variety of different art materials of what we might see under the sea using the story for ideas and inspiration.
Year 1 families took part in an Astronaut training school which included plotting the planets on a grid using co-ordinates and making a square using 7 different shaped pieces (tangram).
And Year 2 completed a carousel of maths activities including trying to cut a piece of A4 paper so it was big enough to step through! A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to join us.
