Doors open at 8.20am for prompt registration with the class teacher at 8.30am. Late arrivals are via the school office where the adult dropping off will be asked to sign in the child(ren).
Reception and Year 1 drop off and pick up at the front of the school. Year 2 drop off and pick up is via the back entrance.
We kindly ask all parents, carers and anyone collecting children on your behalf to:
- Park legally, safely and considerately.
- Avoid stopping or parking opposite the school or in locations that reduce visibility.
- Be considerate of local residents, driveways and other road users.
- Allow extra time for parking and, where possible, park a little further away and walk in.
Mid-morning, all children are offered a healthy snack of fruit or vegetables and a drink, followed by a short break in the playground.
Lunchtime is from 12.00 noon - 1.00pm. Your child can have a school meal cooked on site by our wonderful catering team or a packed lunch provided from home. Dolce provides our school meals and these are pre-ordered by the parent/carer. When your child starts with us, we will advise Dolce, they will get in touch with you directly to set up your child's account on School Grid. If your child has allergies and/or special dietary requirements, you will add this information to School Grid and then your child will receive an appropriate menu.
Free play takes place after lunch and before the afternoon session begins.
Parents/carers should collect their children from the correct pick-up area at 3.10pm. The back entrance gate will be open from 3.00pm.
Our school opening times mean children are expected to be in school for a total of 32.5 hours each week.
Play time
We have different areas in the playground and a variety of equipment to use.
During the year, children may take on the role of ‘Playground Pal’. Playground Pals help encourage friendship and games, making sure no-one feels alone.
Assemblies
We hold whole-school assemblies which take a different format and theme each day. Assembly time gives us the opportunity to emphasise our core school values and introduce the children to Christian and other world faiths.
| Monday: | Values Assembly |
|---|---|
| Tuesday: | Singing Assembly |
| Wednesday: | PSHE Assembly |
| Thursday: | RE Assembly |
| Friday: | Celebration Assembly |
After-school clubs/activities
We offer a broad range of extracurricular activities after school, organised by teachers and outside agencies.
Clubs commence from Tuesday 6th January 2026 and run through until the last week of term. Clubs are open to all year groups. All clubs are full-term bookings except for choir (this is half-termly).
Please keep checking the links as not all may be live until nearer the New Year.
Additional information:
• Choir will be run by Miss Leggett in the hall. This is open to all year groups and sign-up is via the clubs section on Arbor. Please note payment is for the whole term, irrespective of the sessions attended.
