Admission Arrangements 2022-2023
We conducted a Public Consultation regarding our Admissions for September 2022. The Local Academy Board of Governors met to consider the situation following the consultation. As a result, we have determined our Admission Arrangements for 2022-23.
Following our recent consultation, Windlesham Village Infant School has a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 30 for September 2021.
Children enter the Reception Class aged between four and five. Admission is without reference to ability or aptitude and is on the basis of equal opportunities.
Please note that on April 1st 2018 Windlesham Village Infant School converted to Academy Status as part of The Alliance Multi-Academy Trust (TAMAT) and is an 'own admission authority' school. However, we have remained part of the central admissions system operated by Surrey County Council.
School Places For September 2022
If your child was born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018, you will need to apply for a school place in Reception for September 2022. You can apply for a place from 2nd November 2021. The closing date for on-time applications is 15 January 2022. An in-year application is any application for a school place which falls out of the admissions cycle for our Yr R intake in September each year. We have a Published Admissions Number of 30 for each year group from Yr R from 2021. For our current Yr 1 and Yr 2, we have an operational Published Admissions Number, which limits the number of children in the year group to 30 for current Yr 2 and 51 for current Year 1.

Applications for places
Parents who wish to apply for an in-year place for their child should refer to the Surrey County Council In-Year Admissions Page.
Parents/carers will need to complete form CMA which is available using this link below.
Where there are more applicants than places available, waiting lists will operate for each year group according to the oversubscription criteria for the school without regard to the date the application was received or when a child’s name was added to the waiting list.
Surrey County Council Admissions Department manages the School's waiting list.
Right of appeal.
Appeals lodged will be heard within 30 school days. Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing. Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day preceding three clear working days prior to the appeal hearing date. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
This information will be updated by 31 August each year for the following school year, so for admission in 2022/23, this information must be published by 31 August 2022.
